Well maybe I shouldn't have waited nearly 3 years to update and 'journal' like I said I was going to... guess life got a bit busy. How do I give a quick run down of 3 years? Makenna and Karlie grew older and cuter. After a couple years of trying to modify our home loan we decided to leave California and move to Oregon near my folks. Raising our girls in southern California wasn't going to fit for the kind of life we wanted to have as a family. I still stay home with the kids and Chad still works in CA at station 76... and will for the foreseeable future. With him being half way to retiring with full benefits it doesn't make sense to start with a new department at this point. Flying back and forth to work seems to be working so far. It gives him some time to decompress and relax before coming to us crazy girls.
speaking of girls... we've added another to the family. Ava Dawn was born May 3rd at 11:35pm. She is the happiest most perfect little baby. Our big girls are absolutely in love with her and watching the three of them together makes me melt.
Extra bonus to being in Oregon close to my folks and in a better school system and better lifestyle environment... we get to spend crazy holidays with these crazy people I love with all my heart... my two brothers and my sister with their families. I love them all so very much and I'm so grateful to be living near them. My babies get to have aunts and uncles and cousins right near by :-)
Although this isn't a full recap... its close enough for tonight. I hope I can get back in the swing of things and make this a habit. Time goes by so quickly and my memory is fading already!
